As a Potterhead I believe, It’s our choices that defines us far more than our abilities. It’s, I feel, the truth in the simplest form. Our talent, our might, our skills our knowledge, our intellect is all useless if our choices are wrong. It’s our choices that determines who we really want to be. This is the difference between voldemort and Harry Potter, batman and joker,Dominic Greene and James Bond, Rama and ravana. So, where ever we are, whatever we are, financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, mentally, we are the product of the choices we have made. Now, before i start sounding crazy let me explain this. We are the reflection of our choices, 20% conscious choice and 80% subconscious choices. Conscious choices are the choices, we make knowingly or intentionally or deliberately or in full awareness. Like, what course among science, commerce and arts should one opt for, what dress should i wear today, which college should one join, should one take a bath.
The choices that are backed by reasons, rational or irrational.
But we are what we choose sub- consciously.
Subconscious is a part that started taking its own decisions, started making its own choices,based on past experiences. And very often we find ourselves complaining that i haven’t chosen this incident. But we have chosen that, we have chosen everything around us. We’ve chosen it Unknowingly, unintentionally, without caring much about the repercussions. We’ve chosen it sub consciously.
Let me explain, you wake up, and find its raining and you cringe and swear and say what a shitty weather. You made a choice, a choice to cringe a choice to swear, without you knowing it. Or you smiled and awed and said woow what a beautiful weather. You again made a choice, without you being aware of it.
Who took the decision to cringe or to smile?
It’s our sub conscious.
It defines us. It makes us.
It’s about how we want to see things, good, excellent or shitty.
So it’s not a incident that affects us, it’s how we choose to see it.

Our choices are the maps on the path of our destiny leading to the destination of our dreams. The choices depict our perspective & our beliefs, yet they don’t define us. This is because sometimes we get the wrong map, sometimes an incomplete one, sometimes we lose it during our journey and sometimes we don’t have a map at all. In those times, we are left only with the compass of inner voice.

Nice thinking buddy!! Just a small piece of my mind….Yes, it is our decisions that define us but one shouldn’t classify it as right or wrong. We make choices, face its consequences and then learn from them. Joker was what he was because of his own decisions but how we see him and choose to deal with him are our choices. one can only judge himself! 😀 Keep going.

Now this one is very nice post 🙂 It would have been great if you have put some more analogies for it 🙂 In fact currently I am reading a book on mediation which talks about controlling your action by controlling your subconscious mind 🙂
